We have been awarded Thailand's first AWS certification

We became the first company in Thailand to receive Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification for the water stewardship work done at our Ayutthaya factory. This achievement is part of Nestlé Waters’ global commitment to certify all our factories to the international AWS standard by 2025.

The Ayutthaya factory, which produces Nestlé Pure Life, has implemented a number of water stewardship activities over the years that positively contributed to its successful certification. These include: understanding local communities’ expectations about water use, constant monitoring of water quality to safeguard the water resources where we operate, as well as implementing the long-term Youth Water Guardian project in partnership with WWF – Thailand.

Yaowalak Thiarachow, Country Director, WWF Thailand says, “Nestlé Waters and WWF Thailand have continuously worked together on many water and environmental conservation activities, such as the Youth Water Guardian project. This project educates secondary school students about water resources conservation; it also includes the population along the Kanomchin Canal in Ayutthaya province. We share the same goal with Nestlé Waters of conserving water for future generations and have therefore expanded our collaboration on the AWS certification. We are pleased that our collaboration has helped lead Nestle Waters to become the first and, thus far, only company in Thailand to be certified in meeting internationally recognized AWS standards.”
