S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup goes to the Italian boat "Raffica"
Last week end, the 13th edition of the S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup took place, where 50 boats competed for the best sailing time and culinary performance in a 12-mile race.
The annual regatta, is a unique challenge that attracts both sailors and fine dining lovers from around the world. While crews tame the winds to make the best time possible between the Lido of Venice and the Island of San Giorgio, down in the kitchen the chef executes a dish hoping to earn enough points to secure his team’s victory. Their culinary creations will be judged by an esteemed panel of ten internationally renowned chef
As part of this unique competition, S.Pellegrino presents Inside the Cooking. Involving ten boats with young chefs on board, representing a country where S.Pellegrino natural mineral water and Acqua Panna natural spring water are marketed.
The chefs must demonstrate their culinary passion and creativity in the kitchen during two key moments of the event. At the finish line, they present their dish to the panel of judges who will evaluate it according to four criteria.
The winners were announced at the end of the day on the Venetian Lagoon. The S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup Trophy went to the Italian boat "Raffica", and its chef chef Pianegonda Enrico.
The Inside the Cooking Award, went to US boat and its young chef Paul Qui.

In the Acqua Panna & S.Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year 2013 Award, the Russian chef Vladimir Mukhin ranked second, and emerging Chinese talent Ren Jie Liu third.
The People’s Choice Award, which allows the average foodie, guests of the inaugural dinner, to vote along with great gourmet experts on their favourite signature dish, went to Haviv Moshe, from Israel. He presented the "Fillet of sea bass, garlic cream and corn gnocchi".
With their participation in the 13th edition of the Cooking Cup, S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, ambassadors of the Italian style and art of living and synonymous with the gourmet food and wine culture across the globe, uphold their commitment to scouting and promoting emerging talents.
