Spring Water

Benefits

The Acqua Panna sources are located 3,700 feet high in the Apennines Mountains of Tuscany where its waters are filtered for 14-years through limestone.

Its moderate salt content and small amounts of calcium, magnesium and silica, provide it with balanced organoleptic qualities, and also give it a tonic note.

To remain unaltered, it is subjected to accurate analysis and a rigorous 8-step water quality control by our in-house Quality Assurance Department and Laboratory.

Top restaurants and hotels across the world have chosen it as their fine dining water of choice because of its high quality.

Acqua Panna takes its name from the Villa Panna Estate in Tuscany, a summer estate that was owned by the noble Medici family of Florence. The iconic fleur-de-lys symbol was their crest.

Water Stewardship

We have a long history of protecting the source of our waters at Acqua Panna and the surrounding areas. Only by working together with local stakeholders can we sustainably manage this precious resource for ourselves and for future generations.

Our team of in-house expert geologists and hydrogeologists monitor and maintain the health of the springs and quality of the water.

Environmental sustainability

Inaugurated in 2016, our new clean-energy plant is entirely powered by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), a fuel that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

During the same period, to lower our environmental impact, we reduced our site’s CO2 emissions by 54.9%.

To export our water, in 2013 94% of our bottles were transported by boat instead of roads.

Since 2009, in Belgium, we have decreased our C02g/liter emissions by 44% thanks to the use of trains.

About Acqua Panna

Acqua Panna’s long history dates back to the Renaissance. Beginning in 1564, the Medicis Family owned the spring. The first Acqua Panna was bottled in the 1860s in a plant built on one of The Medici's farm buildings. It was then delivered by horse and cart to Florence. We have been part of the San Pellegrino Group since 1957 and we became part of the Nestlé Waters North America family in 1999.

We support arts and culture with our #ImagineToscana program. In collaboration with OffiCine, we help young artists express their vision of Tuscany. We are also sponsoring the World Gourmet Summit and the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Acqua Panna is available in many prestigious hotel chains and restaurants.
