OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE SINCE 2008, THIS YEAR VITTEL HAS DECIDED TO GIVE THE GRANDE BOUCLE’S FANS THE PLACE OF HONOR!
Whether they’re simple spectators just coming to see the event for a day or passionate cyclers, everyone can enjoy a unique, personal experience of the Tour thanks to VITTEL.
They’ll go from being simple spectators to real players and will take part in this extraordinary event in a way that they never imagined. Located at the heart of the event, whether at the start, on the course with the Caravan or at the stage finish line, Tour de France fans will have their hearts beating in cadence with the pedals in 2014!
By giving them a chance to experience the Tour from the inside, VITTEL will “reVITTELize”fans and give them a new outlook on this celebration of cycling. They will go from being passive spectators to more “active” ones. Another way to experience the Tour de France with VITTEL!
WITH VITTEL, EVERY SPECTATOR IS AT THE HEART OF THE ACTION!
• AT THE STARTING LINE
Their turn to experience the Tour as a VIP! Every morning, several fans will become VITTEL’s VIP guests and enter the Tour village. Coming to assist to the Departure, they will have a unique morning at the heart of the Tour operations, alongside racers of yesterday and today as well as race officials!
• ON THE ROUTE
Your turn to be in the VITTEL caravan! This is another exceptional surprise that awaits the six spectators who have come to cheer on the racers at the start. They will have the chance not only to experience a stage in the caravan but also see the finish and Watch the racers cross the line. They will climb aboard the VITTEL Caravan and take the race route with some 40 other caravan riders who liven up the course and get fans excited before the cyclists race by. The VITTEL Caravan this year will be one of the biggest and definitely one of the most fun and interactive, all for the Entertainment of the spectators crowded along the roads. When the six lucky spectators arrive at the finish, they’ll enjoy the champions’ arrival in ideal conditions before being shuttled back to the starting line.That’s the schedule of a perfect day many could never have imagined they’d get to experience.
• AT THE FINISH LINE
Their turn to cross the magical finish line like a champion!This will be the chance for cycling fans to experience something truly extraordinary. VITTEL will give 10 cyclists the chance to ride the last few kilometers and cross the finish line just like the professionals. But they won’t be going it alone… Vincent Barteau, former yellow jersey wearer and winner of three Tour de France stages will be their coach for this exceptional day, giving them a chance to enjoy this day on the Grande Boucle to the fullest. At the finish line then there will be not one but 11 winners…Another amazing memory for cycling fanatics!
THE BIGGEST WAVE IN THE WORLD ON THE TOUR DE FRANCE WITH VITTEL
So that all the spectators get a chance to become active participants and take part in an exceptional event, VITTEL has decided to challenge them: to break the world record for a wave with the VITTEL “EAULA” and go down in history in the Guinness Book… The way it works is simple: at every start and every finish VITTEL organizers will encourage the crowd to create the biggest wave.The participants will be counted and added to the daily total. The goal to reach before the end of the tour is 154,574 spectators(current record in Bristol on 23 August 2008). The crowd will be jumping at the chance to take part in this VITTEL “EAULA” red wave!With “The Tour is yours!” VITTEL will make the exclusive available to fans of the Tour and share its passion for the race.
