Based on the natural origins of the products, complemented by technical formulas developed at the Nestlé Group’s research centres, these water-based beverages contribute to daily consumer needs in terms of wellness and health. VITTEL has been introduced on the sports drink market with VITTEL+ENERGY. Natural and technical, its unique formula combines VITTEL natural mineral water with vitamins and a specially developed blend of carbohydrates. VITTEL+ENERGY promotes rehydration after physical activity while supplying the body with the energy it needs. This pleasant tasting drink is suitable for all sports enthusiasts. Nestlé Waters is responding to consumers seeking greater well-being with the launch of Nestlé WELLNESS in Germany, a still or lightly sparkling natural spring water with refreshing fruit flavours and added plant extracts.
The pleasure bonus: From flavour to bubbles
Launched back in the 1980s, flavoured waters are another innovation initially offered by sparkling bottled water brands such as PERRIER or POLAND SPRING. Combining the pleasurable with the natural, they are a more healthy response for consumers who are looking for beverages with fewer calories. This alternative contains two to three times less sugar than classic fruit beverages or carbonated soft drinks and is particularly interesting for children. Nevertheless, Nestlé Waters advises consumers to drink plain bottled water throughout the day and to reserve flavoured water for special occasions. In Europe, VITTEL offers a fruit-flavoured water popular for afterschool snacks or on festive occasions. In the diet soft drinks category, Nestlé Waters is offering flavoured waters with sweeteners. In the United States, NESTLÉ PURE LIFE offers a fruit-flavoured water with no calories as a real natural alternative to diet soft drinks. Bubbles are also a source of sensory pleasure. Especially popular in Eastern Europe, sparkling waters account for a large share of Nestlé Waters’ brand portfolio. From PERRIER to S. PELLEGRINO, Nestlé Waters presents a whole range of bubbles with different levels of carbonation for every palate. Launched in 2005, CONTREX FINES BULLES is the new lightly sparkling version of the famed French brand. By combining flavour and bubbles, Nestlé Waters’ creativity comes to the fore. Launched successfully in 2002, PERRIER FLUO blends PERRIER mineral water with fruit and plant extracts. PERRIER FLUO immediately succeeded in attracting fans somewhat younger than PERRIER’s traditional customer base; the younger crowd looking for taste with a real personality.
