Plastic bottle

Zoom in (New window)

Our bottles guarantee our products’ quality and taste, from any external contamination.

Along glass for the restaurant channel, recyclable plastic remains our primary packaging material. Nestlé Waters uses three types of plastic packagings to bottle its products: PET in our smaller formats, HDPE in our bigger formats and polycarbonate for our Home & Office bottles. All these materials fully comply with the stringent international and national regulations on safety for food packagings. As a result they have been safely used within the food and beverage industry for years.

The bottle acts as a mostly-unbreakable and fully waterproof container, guaranteeing the water is protected and absolutely untouched from the moment it is bottled to the time it is in the consumers’ hands. The bottle is therefore our seal of guarantee.

Nestlé pure life sealed bottle

Once bottled and sealed, the water is perfectly stable and preserved, provided it is stored in a place protected from too much light, and from extreme temperatures. Our guarantee of consistency runs generally for a two-year period for most of our or bottles of plain still water, as indicated by the shelf-life date on each of our bottle.

In addition to being a safe container, the bottle features important information for consumers. In case of any consumer complaints, the code present on each bottle allows us to trace our products as it specifies the plant location, the bottling line and time where the product was produced. On each label, you get a full ID card of the specific water you drink: its name (brand) and denomination (type of water), its birthplace and origin (the spring the water comes from), its physical characteristics (mineral composition) and ways to contact us (customer service, website). Most of the time, the bottle is also used as a media to inform and educate the consumer on the benefits of hydration on health.

Finally, we are continuously working on initiatives to reduce the weight and environmental impact of our packagings, without doing so at the expense of our products’ safety and quality.
